Departure 8:00 in the morning from our office for our Sunday excursion. First stop for today is the village of the potters, margarites of Rethymno. Margarites Depart 8:00 in the morning from Heraklion for another Sunday excursion. The first stop for today will be at the impressive Monastery of the Holy Cross of Vosakos, a historic monastery located between the peaks of the Talaia Mountains (Kouloukonas). Our next stop is Zoniana and the cave Sfendoni (optional entrance). It is one of the largest caves in Greece with an area of 3400m. and a length of 145 m. Its unparalleled and rare natural beauty captivates the visitor and makes it one of the most beautiful in Crete with very rich stalactite and stalagmite decoration. We continue our tour in Anogia. One of the mountainous villages of the prefecture of Rethymno that keep the traditional character atofio over time. Free time for food (optional) and walk. Arrival in Heraklion. End of excursion.
